AHEAD OF THE CURVE

AHEAD OF THE CURVE: Mutable Music has decided to respond to the changing marketplace for recorded media, and is switching to an all-digital format. Going forward, all of our new releases will be available as digital downloads. With the nature of the music business shifting almost daily, we have been looking for an alternative to the manufacture, storage, sale, and transport of physical objects. Thankfully, technology now enables us to offer digital downloads that can not only sound better than mp3s, but can sound significantly better than CDs.
All new releases, including artwork and liner notes, can be purchased in both high-quality format (through HD Tracks) and mp3 format (from our website). And of course titles will continue to be able to be purchased through iTunes, emusic.com, Amazon.com, and other digital sites. On our new website you will be able to hear sound samples of all our titles, read artist bios and reviews, and find out about Mutable artists upcoming performances. Also, all previous Mutable Music releases will continue to be available in the Compact Disc format as well as our new digital options.
The first two digital releases will be by the Particle Ensemble (Earl Howard, Mari Kimura, JD Parran, Thomas Buckner), and a remarkable new solo recording by Richard Teitelbaum. Please browse our new website, and experience for yourself!
